Famigila is everything to Melissa and Marino, both of whom hail from large, loving and boisterous Italian families. Standing at the altar of Chicago’s Holy Family Catholic Church, Marino looked completely in his element; relax, confident and, most importantly, surrounded by friends and family. That is, until Melissa stepped onto the aisle. The look on Marino’s face when he first saw his bride-to-be is the stuff fairytales are made of.
I couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful summer day for Tori and Spencer’s elegant wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago in downtown Chicago! The entire day was bursting with happiness, with each passing moment bringing new depth to the once-in-a-lifetime love these two share. I think I can speak for everyone present when I say we couldn’t get enough – enough laughter, love, joy, dancing and Jewish tradition. We wanted the night to never end!
Savannah and Graig were married on a perfect spring day at the Warwick Allerton Hotel, located along Chicago’s Magnificent Mile.
And let me clarify, when I say a “perfect” spring day, I mean from a photographer’s perspective. We are in the “windy city” after all, and it rained the day before the wedding and the day after, so we were beyond thrilled to find the day’s weather balmy, wind-free and overcast – ideal for taking pictures. Thin rays of light streamed through the clouds, casting a beautiful glow as the day’s events unfurled.
This stunning backdrop set the day for one of the most enchanting weddings I’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing. Savannah was breathtaking in her gown, and every detail came together perfectly. Beforehand, Savannah and Graig expressed they were open to fun, unique photo opportunities, so I knew we’d be able to capture some images that reflected their personalities and passion.
Marina and Vasiliy are married!!! They tied the knot at European Crystal Banquets, and I have to tell you, the location was both incredibly convenient and regal. The ceremony and reception were at one location, which was great for guests, and gave us some additional time to capture some homegrown, heartfelt pictures in one of their favorite places – a blossoming tree in their very own backyard!
These two lovebirds met at a New Year’s Eve party and when their 10th anniversary rolled around, Vasiliy had the most romantic idea – to ring in the new year by popping the question to the love of his life, Marina. Their relationship has been full of the best surprises so far, and I know so much more joy is in store for them.
Spring has been slow to bloom here in the Windy City, but the sun decided to make a rare appearance just in time for Emily and Mike’s elegant nuptials and reception! The crisp breeze and peek-a-boo sunshine made for stunning pictures, despite still feeling like a winter day for these Dallas natives.
Megan and Justin celebrated their wedding day at the historic Meson Sabika in Naperville, IL. After photographing their engagement session last year, I couldn’t wait to see these two again on their wedding day! We had a beautiful sunny day and we couldn’t be more honored to have spent the day photographing the biggest chapter in their love story together.
Megan and Justin, enjoy some of my favorites from your beautiful wedding and thank you for welcoming us on this special day of your lives. I can’t wait to watch your marriage and family continue to grow!
Kait and Taylor, what an honor it was to be the ones photographing your beautiful wedding day. Thank you for always exhibiting such joy and for allowing us to be a part of this special chapter of your life!! Enjoy my (many) favorites!
Maureen and Dave, what an incredible honor it was to be the one photographing your wedding day. If I could describe your BIG day with just one word, that word would undoubtedly be joy! Despite the non-stopping rain and the fog, your contagious joy is what we love the most about you both! I hope that you will cherish these photos for a lifetime. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this special day of your life!!
Everything seemed to flow so perfectly for Zach and Mallory on their wedding day. The rain didn’t start until we arrived at the beautiful Lacuna Lofts where they got married surrounded by loyal friends and family. When Zach started his wows, I could tell that it will be emotional. Sometimes I witness a wedding ceremony that makes it hard to breath even though I barely know the couple! Needless to say, there were a ton of happy tears and I learned that Zach can easily make Mallory laugh at any given moment.
